Joseph Amodeo, MPA, MS, MA, CRC

Director of Career Development & Communications

Joseph Amodeo serves as the Director of Career Development and Communications at QSAC. In this capacity, Joseph oversees vocational services, the National External Diploma Program (NEDP) for high school equivalency, and the agency’s development and communications efforts. He is a doctoral student in the Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Joseph's research interests pertain to the intersection of vocational rehabilitation and human resource development.

Joseph originally joined QSAC in 2012 as the Director of Development. In this role, Joseph helped to significantly grow the agency’s philanthropic support while also spearheading the launch of an array of programs and innovative partnerships with the private sector and government agencies. He also previously served as the Senior Director of Strategy and Communications (2017-2023) before transitioning to a position focused more directly on programming. Before QSAC, Joseph held various program and development roles at PowerMyLearning, Marist College, and the New York State Dental Foundation. Joseph also served as an adjunct professor of political science at St. Francis College in Brooklyn.

Joseph holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University at Buffalo, a Master's in Public Administration from Marist College, and a Master of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.

He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE), Certified Case Manager (CCM), SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP), Certified Career Counselor (CCC), and a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
