Who We Are

QSAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families in the New York City and Long Island areas. Our mission is to provide person-centered services that help children and adults with autism achieve greater independence, realize their potential, and contribute to their communities in a meaningful way.

Since our founding in 1978 by a group of parents who were struggling to find adequate services for their children with autism, QSAC has grown to provide direct services to over 2,700 individuals in the region. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve, with a focus on improving communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.

At QSAC, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. That’s why our programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after-school, and in-home educational and support services. Our adult programs include supportive living, skill development programs, vocational training, job placement, and in-home services. Whatever the age or needs of the individual, we are committed to providing high-impact services and a supportive, trained staff to help them achieve their goals.

Our vision for the future is a world where individuals with autism are fully included in their communities, with access to the services and support they need to thrive. We believe that by providing person-centered services that are tailored to the unique needs of each individual, we can help make this vision a reality.
