AutismEdu is a new training program that offers public school teachers in the City of New York access to high-impact trainings aimed at increasing their capacity to support learners with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Made possible through a generous grant from The New York Community Trust, the program offers public schools access to a series of trainings to explore instructional methods for supporting students with autism by placing an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The training program offers partner schools 16 hours of training for teachers, 6 hours of feedback sessions for participating teachers, and corresponding parent trainings. The project seeks to create learning environments that support learners with autism in achieving their full potential.

The training program's staff work closely with building administrators to conduct a needs assessment to ascertain, which workshops/courses from the program's catalog would be most appropriate for the partner school. To support the trainings, QSAC draws on more than 38-years of experience in supporting the autism community as well as its staff of accomplished behavior analysts and educators supporting children with autism.

To learn more about the program, or if you would like to request information about how your school can participate, please contact Rachel La Piana, M.S.Ed., BCBA or fill out the online inquiry form.
