Today, April 23rd, is Eileen Breen's birthday. We had been planning a celebration of her life that will be rescheduled for a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eileen passed away earlier this year in her home country of Ireland. Eileen had been a valued member of QSAC for more than 20 years. She joined QSAC in 1999 as our first Quality Assurance Specialist. Over the next two decades, she worked to create and then grow the Quality Assurance Department. Her dedication and knowledge had an indelible impact on the lives of individuals with autism and their families.

We hope that you will take a moment today to pause and remember the wonderful colleague, supervisor, friend, advocate for people with autism, and most of all, person that Eileen was. At 12pm/Noon many of us will listen to "A Song for Ireland," sung by one of Eileen's favorite artists, Mary Black, as we honor and remember Eileen.

Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
