About the Program

QSAC provides a Social Skills Group for individuals on the autism spectrum, targeting high-functioning individuals with autism and low support needs.

Individuals with autism exhibit the most profound deficits in socialization, peer interaction, and typical communication, which can significantly impact their success and overall progress.

QSAC operates a Social Skills Group in Manhattan and the second group in Queens. Participants must be residents of the borough for the group they wish to join.

The QSAC Social Skills Group will provide the participants with the communication, socialization, and interactive skills to thrive in various settings, similar to their typically developing peers.

Manhattan Social Skills Group
Open to individuals who are ages 8 and up and on the autism spectrum. Must reside in Manhattan and have OPWDD Eligibility. Sessions are facilitated using a remote platform only.

Queens Social Skills Group
Open to individuals from Queens who are on the autism spectrum and are ages 8 – 21. Must reside in Queens and not be eligible for OPWDD or HCBS waiver programs. Sessions are facilitated in-person (within program transportation radius) or virtually using a remote platform.
