About Us
Our Mission
QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services using the evidence-based principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to improve their communication, socialization, academic, vocational, and functional skills.

Who We Are
QSAC is a New York City and Long Island-based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.
QSAC was founded in 1978 by a group of parents confronted with limited-service options for their children with autism. Today, QSAC provides direct services to more than 2,600 children and adults throughout the region.
QSAC pursues its mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after school, and in-home educational and support services. QSAC’s adult programs include supportive living, skill development programs, vocational training, job placement, and in-home services. QSAC’s programs provide supportive and trained staff, high-impact services, and a commitment to quality.
About Our Logo
In late 2022, New York State recently announced the new neurodiversity flag to represent the autism community. People from across the State participated in the selection process. Given this, we felt it is important to incorporate the new flag's core element (an infinity symbol) into our logo to celebrate neurodiversity using a symbol selected by the autism community. Self-advocates originally adopted the infinity symbol to reflect the “diversity with infinite variations and infinite possibilities" of the autism spectrum.

Our Supporters
Our work is made possible with the support of our government partners at the state and local level as well as foundations, corporations, and individuals who help us make meaningful investments in program enhancements and innovation. Below we have listed philanthropic partners who have and continued to support QSAC's programs for children and adults with autism.
