Teachers
Special Education Teacher (Preschool/Day School)
NYS Certified Special Education Teacher who implements IEP goals for students in a classroom and/or in-home setting using the principles of applied behavior analysis.
REQUIRED
- NYS Certified Special Education Teacher (B-2, 1-6, 7-17, or all grades).
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and ABA preferred
Part-Time EI - SEIT Teacher
NYS Certified Special Education Teacher who implements IEP goals for students in a classroom and/or in-home setting using the principles of applied behavior analysis.
REQUIRED
- NYS Certified Special Education Teacher (Internship Certificate a minimum).
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and ABA preferred.
- Must be able to travel to Queens and/or Nassau County
- Min availability of 5 hours per week
Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
The Adaptive Physical Education Teacher ensures that physical education programs are developed and implemented in accordance with IEP goals, behavioral principles, QSAC Curriculum and the individual needs of every student.
REQUIRED
- New York State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher
- New York State Student with Disabilities Certification
- B.A. or MA Degree in Adapted Physical Education/Physical Education.
- Must have experience or be willing to be trained in applying behavioral teaching techniques in adapted physical education
Teacher - Early Intervention
NYS Certified Special Education Teacher who implements IFSP goals for birth to 3-year-olds. The therapeutic and educationally based services are provided in the Early Intervention Center-based program or the child’s home and/or day care center and/or mutually agreed upon location.
REQUIRED
- New York State Certification in Special Education OR Students with Disabilities Birth through 2nd grade required. Minimum of Initial Certification required.
- Experience with birth to 3-year-old children with autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Demonstrate patience and the ability to learn and utilize systematic procedures to enhance independence and quality of life. Ability to run.
- Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items.
- Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
