Service Providers
Certified Occupational Therapist (OT)
The (OT) will follow a treatment plan & IEP goals developed to improve, develop, restore, or maintain opportunities for active participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, and play for the students we support. OT’s will also provide education and training to Occupational Therapy Assistants.
REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current New York State OT license
- Experience working with people with autism highly preferred
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
The COTA will follow a treatment plan/IEP goals developed to improve, develop, restore, or maintain opportunities for active participation in self-maintenance, work, leisure, and play for the students we support. Supervision will be provided and applicants must have current New York State certifications.
REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) program
- Current New York State COTA license to practice
- Experience working with people with autism highly preferred
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Provide speech and language therapy to assess and treat speech, language, and social communication disorders in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in accordance with IEP and all state, municipality and QSAC policies.
REQUIRED
- NYS Certification of Clinical Competency preferred
- NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) OR Teacher of Students with Speech Language Disabilities (TSSLD).
- MA Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- At least 6 months experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD
Part-Time Physical Therapist
The PT will provide treatment and develop, improve and evaluate opportunities for active participation in work, leisure, and play for the students we support. Applicants must have current New York State certifications and or licensure. 8-9 hours a week
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- NY State Physical Therapist License
- Experience working with people with autism highly preferred
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
The PTA will provide direct service according to a treatment plan they develop in collaboration with the supervising PT. PTA will also communicate and interact with other team members, school personnel, and families in collaboration with a supervising PT
REQUIRED
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA ) program REQUIRED
- NY State Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities highly preferred
